The Kind Collective (TKC) began as an underground network of community members in Trenton, united by a shared commitment to supporting communities of people impacted by the war on people, and overdose crises in Trenton. In response to gaps in care and systemic inaction, we mobilized to provide essential, resources directly to those most affected. Over time, this community-led effort evolved into a 501(c)(3), and New Jersey Department of Public Health mobile harm reduction program. Today, TKC delivers overdose prevention tools, safer use supplies, wound care referrals, and a mail-based drug checking initiative—while continuing to center the voices and needs of communities impacted by the overdose crises in the 609
