Be part of something kind | in the 609
The Kind Collective (TKC) is a mobile harm reduction program dedicated to serving Trenton and the surrounding Mercer County community. We provide life-saving supplies, overdose prevention education, and compassionate street-level outreach to individuals and families impacted by the local overdose crisis — bringing services directly to those who need them most, when and where it matters.

No conditions. No judgment. We show up for you — wherever you are.

Our work is rooted in evidence-based harm reduction and public health practice. We are committed to reducing overdose deaths, preventing disease transmission, and building trust with communities that have been historically marginalized and underserved by traditional healthcare systems.
Because everyone deserves access to care, dignity, and support.

What We do
|For Our Community
You shouldn't have to choose between staying safe and showing up somewhere. We come to you.
We have fixed sites throughout the week, but we know that showing up at a certain place and time isn't always possible. Life happens. Schedules change. Sometimes it's just not safe or realistic to get there.
That's why we meet you where you are—literally. Our mobile services bring clean supplies, naloxone, and support directly to you, no questions asked. Whether we see you at a fixed site or out in the community, you'll get what you need to use more safely and look out for each other.
Because harm reduction means meeting people where they're actually at—not where we think they should be.

Community education that dismantles stigma and saves lives
Through trainings rooted in compassion, we help Trenton respond to overdoses, support families navigating substance use, and understand how punitive policies have hurt our community. Knowledge replaces judgment. NJGroundhog provides free drug testing, education, and awareness about the local drug supply to the harm reduction community and service providers in Trenton. In summer 2025, we became the first local program to identify medetomidine—a veterinary tranquilizer that Narcan can't reverse—appearing in over half of regional samples
Stronger Together
Everyone deserves access to community support without judgment or barriers. Harm reduction counseling helps you tap into the networks, services, and people in your community who can support your well-being—on your own terms. We help you connect with peers who share similar experiences, access local resources that respect where you're at, and navigate systems with advocates who understand. Whether you're looking for practical resources, peer connections, or help finding your way, we're here to connect you with the community support that fits your life.
